Community Overview
Carolina Cove is the first in the Southeast seeking a Four Star Rating for the National Green Land Development Certification- created by the International Codes Council (ICC) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Until now, the National Green Building Standard Certification was limited to individual home projects. The National Green Land Development Certification is the latest addition to the standard and envelops the entire development process. So, at Carolina Cove, not only are all of the homes certified green, but the community development itself is certified green to the highest standard.
The guidelines for applicants include intense planning and third-party inspections and verification of key categories: (1) Site Design, (2) Implementation While Protecting, Restoring, and Enhancing Natural Features, (3) Environmental Impact of Construction, and (4) Innovative Practices.
Carolina Cove is master-planned and designed to show the fusion of nature’s gifts with traditional structures and modern amenities. We believe a healthy living environment is comprised of more than a home, even a Green home. The people and activities with which we choose to surround ourselves are just as important as the materials that make up our living spaces. Whether watching butterflies in the backyard butterfly garden, sharing a roasted marshmallow with neighbors at the community fire pit, or indulging in a nice walk down to the waterfall, the green homes of Carolina Cove are in a location designed to enrich personal connections as well as connections to the land.
